I have specialized in neuromuscular blockers and filler injections for over 10 years. I started my career and love for aesthetic medicine while treating the rich and famous at a medical spa in Los Angeles. I am also the lead nurse injector for the plastic surgery department at one of Boston’s well known hospitals. And, now, I am excited to offer you high-quality service here at Blush Vanity Room.

Botox Pre and Post Instructions

Pre-Treatment Instructions

  • Discontinue use of NSAIDS such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Aleve for 3 days before and after treatment to minimize bruising and bleeding.

  • Do not use Botox if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any of its ingredients, or suffer from any neurological condition.

  • Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal cream on the area being treated.

  • If you develop a cold sore before your visit, please reschedule.

  • If you have a special event coming up, come in 2 weeks in advance.

  • It is recommended that you avoid: Alcohol, caffeine, niacin supplements and cigarettes 24-48 hrs before and after your treatment (as may cause bruising).

  • It is recommended you stop Retin-A 2 days before and after treatment to avoid increased irritation.

  • Please note that medical history and current medications will be reviewed prior to any treatments to ensure that there are no contraindications.

Post-Treatment Instructions

  • DO NOT rub, press or massage area for 4hrs post treatment.

  • DO NOT exercise, do yoga or go in sauna for 4hrs post treatment.

  • DO NOT lie down for 4hrs post treatment.

  • The tiny bumps or marks will go away within a few hours.

  • No makeup for 4hrs post procedure.

  • Results of your treatment MAY TAKE UP TO 14 DAYS to take full effect. Please wait until the 14 days have passed before assessing if you are pleased with the result.

  • You may come back in 14 days for a touch up at an additional charge.

  • Botox is a temporary procedure and at first, you may find that treatment results will last approximately 3-4 months. If you maintain your treatment appointments with the frequency recommended by your NP, the duration of each treatment result may last longer than 4 months.

  • Initially patients are recommended to come in every 3-4 months.

  • Please book your 2-week follow-up.
